A note from DJ Robb


Thank you for visiting Frederick DJs! First and foremost, thank you for stopping in and giving us your attention. My team of DJs and I truly appreciate it. A little background on who I am and what sets Frederick DJs apart from the rest.

Starting as a DJ as a kid, yes, a kid of only 14! I took a huge interest in the entertainment industry. It started a little before then, but that’s when I got into DJing. I fell in love with playing music for others while working at a roller-skating rink. (Wisconsin Sk8 University)

I later moved on from the roller rink where I became a DJ assistant for a solo DJ who specialized in weddings. Let’s just day that gave me a whole new love for the job. I got to see not only the ins and outs of truly MCing a wedding and learning the transitions from ceremony, to cocktail hour all the way through to the last dance & send offs. Being there to not just be a part of the magical & emotional day that is a wedding but BE there and bring the energy and emotion to life through music! For me THAT is the magic that turned DJing from a job that I did on the side, to a job that truly paid my bills full time all the way to today where it is a full-time career employing other great talented DJ’s & MC’s that add a wealth of knowledge, skill and energy to each and every event we provide our services.

Started DJing at Wisconsin Sk8 University / Incredirol

Started Training as a DJ Assistant


I started my wedding DJ training as a DJ Assistant with a small solo DJ in New Berlin, WI.

Bars & Community Events


I purchased my first set of DJ equipment and started DJing at local bars in Milwaukee, WI

Moved to MD

January 2012

I moved to Maryland and started markeing myself for smaller private events and weddings 

Became a full time DJ

May 2014

I accepted a position with a local Frederick based DJ company where I was working an average of 35 - 40 weddings / year

Launced Frederick DJs

October 2020

I launched Frederick DJs, LLC as a Solo DJ where I started booking smaller COVID-19 micro weddings, private corporate events & fundraisers. 

Holidy Cheer Tour

December 2020

I launched the 1st annual Holiday Cheer Tour where I would decorate the Frederick DJs Jeep and strap a speaker to the roof and play holiday tunes through the frederick community to bring joy to children and families while handing out treat bags filled with hot cocoa pouches anc candy canes for the kids knowing that with COVID many families would not have the christmas they may have been used to.

August 2021

I brought on a fellow DJ who started working with me to allow me to expande the number of bookings I could take on and provide the same excelent white glove DJ service to the DMV area.

Frederick DJs was great to work with! Robert was very responsive and came prepared with documents to help us capture exactly what we wanted. He also held multiple meetings with us to ensure all the details were correct. The mood was perfect throughout dinner and into the evening, and he kept everyone dancing the whole night. Robert of Frederick DJs was great to work with for our wedding day. Robert was easy to get in touch with, and we loved all of the techy features he used to communicate as well as to keep our event organized. His contract terms and payment schedule was easy to understand and very reasonable. We liked the check ins that he would do with us, and the zoom calls to keep us on track. He has a great online portal where we could add information about other vendors, wedding party information, as well as our music. He also had a packet for us to complete which was a nice planning tool as it got us to think about things that my husband and I hadn’t discussed before. What was also helpful was that Robert had a lot of music recommendations. He listened to what we were saying and got to know us as well as our music personalities to best provide music for our event, and also modified his DJ personality accordingly. He worked well with our other vendors and was organized and professional. Robert also did our up-lighting which turned out beautifully. I am so glad we booked the lighting service because it made such a significant difference in elevating our wedding, and it was clear from our photos. At the last minute, we had a space change at the venue and Robert was quick to accommodate. I would quickly rebook Robert in the future and would recommend him to anyone!
